Emily was born and raised in Uppsala, Sweden, where she discovered her love for acting at an

early age. Inspired by Greta Garbo, also from Sweden, Emily believed that she too could make

the leap across the Atlantic and pursue her dream.

 

Her guest appearances on TV include Mob City, created by Frank Darabont, Mad Men, Crash

alongside Dennis Hopper, How I Met Your Mother, Bones, and Major Crimes. She has appeared

in recurring roles on Legend of the Seeker and Reckless and most recently on the CW’s award

winning phenomenon, Jane the Virgin.

 

Emily has appeared in features such as Ghosts of Girlfriends Past alongside Matthew

McConaughey and as the female lead in the critically acclaimed sci-fi hit, Coherence alongside

Maury Sterling and Nicholas Brendon.

 

In addition to her acting career, Emily has been using her tools to lay a positive foundation in

the hearts of women and girls all over the world. She helped launch the LIDE’ foundation with

fellow actor Rainn Wilson and author Holiday Reinhorn as the first volunteer teaching the art of

self expression to girls in remote villages in Haiti. Emily also co founded the first ever Carnival

of Love on Skid Row which in only its second year has served over 2500 homeless and brought

out well over one thousand volunteers to bring a day of love and happiness to one of the darkest

areas in the country. Finally she has recently joined the organization Children of the Night,

providing support through the arts to young girls who have been victims of sex trafficking right

here in LA. 

 

She happily resides in Los Angeles with her husband Justin Baldoni and their beautiful daughter

Maiya who was born in June of 2015.
